THAI MASSAGE
  Thai Massage is based on an ancient form of therapeutic bodywork developed in India over 2500 years ago, and then brought to Thailand by Ayurvedic doctors and Buddhist monks. Its origins run deep within the traditions of Buddhist culture and therefore it carries with its practice a spiritual nature.

  This ancient healing art incorporates a combination of acupressure, yoga, compression, and deep stretching techniques utilizing the practitioner's palms, thumbs, elbows, soles of the feet, and knees to release muscles and free joints. Pressure and slow rhythmic movements are applied to specific energy lines known as 'sen' to unblock restricted areas allowing energy to flow freely through our bodies' energy meridians.

  As with other body therapies, Thai Massage oxygenates the blood, improves circulation, increases joint flexibility, massages internal organs, reduces stress, increases energy, and facilitates mind/body/spirit balance.

  Unlike Western massage, Thai Massage is performed on a floor mat allowing for movement that is not practical for table work. The client is clothed in loose, comfortable clothing.


SWEDISH MASSAGE
  This nurturing full-body massage is a classic. The therapists adapt their pressure and technique to fit your needs for increasing circulation, reducing muscle tension, and promoting relaxation. Using long, kneading strokes, Swedish Massage is excellent for easing pain, reducing swelling, removing toxins, and diminishing the effects of stress on the body and mind. This massage will leave you with a feeling of tranquility and heightened well-being.


DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
  Using deeper and more direct pressure, this highly therapeutic massage helps to relieve muscular tension and pain by spreading constricted muscle fibers. Releasing adhesions and stretching thickened and shortened fascia can help increase your mobility and flexibility. Deep tissue work can improve breathing and posture, and creates the opportunity for change and new movement patterns. A deep tissue massage usually concentrates on the specific muscle groups that are affected. Expect some soreness for a day or two.
